How many access points does a site need?

The number is not determined by floor area alone. We review the layout, walls, levels, user density, interference and mounting positions, then validate the plan with coverage testing.

Is an access point better than a Wi-Fi extender?

For organised, scalable coverage, wired access points are usually the better option. A range extender may suit one small isolated weak area, but the right choice depends on the site and usage.

Does every access point need a network cable?

Wired backhaul is preferred for stability and capacity. Power and data can use PoE when the switch and cable run are suitable. Some platforms support wireless uplinks, but they are not the best choice for every project.

Can one Wi-Fi name be used across multiple floors?

Yes. A unified SSID and roaming features can be configured, but handoff quality also depends on coverage overlap, channels, transmit power and client-device support.

Can guest Wi-Fi be separated from the staff network?

Yes. A guest SSID can be separated using VLANs, access policies and bandwidth limits when the router, switch and management platform support the design.

Is Wi-Fi 7 right for every project?

Not necessarily. Wi-Fi 6 suits many current sites, while Wi-Fi 7 is most useful when client devices and wired infrastructure support it and the site's density or applications justify it.
